How to Set Realistic Weight Loss Goals

I had always been an overweight kid. I grew up in a family that didn’t emphasize a lot of physical activity and I spent most of my time in front of the television or computer. I never felt confident in my body and I was always the last one picked for sports teams. I knew that I needed to make a change, so I decided to set realistic weight loss goals.

I started by doing research online and talking to my doctor. I learned about the importance of healthy nutrition and exercise, and how to set realistic goals. Once I had a better understanding of what I needed to do, I started to make changes.

First, I started to keep track of everything I ate. I wrote down every single thing I ate, and I also wrote down how many calories each food had. This was the first step towards making sure that I was eating healthier.

Next, I started to exercise. I started out slowly with walking and jogging, and I gradually increased the intensity as I felt comfortable. I also made sure to do different exercises, as this would help my body in different ways.

As I was making these changes, I also set realistic goals for myself. I set short-term goals that I could easily achieve, such as running a certain distance in a certain amount of time. I also set long-term goals, such as losing a certain amount of weight over the course of a few months.

I also made sure to reward myself when I achieved my goals. This was important to keep me motivated, and it helped me stay on track. I would buy myself a new outfit or treat myself to a massage when I achieved a goal.

Finally, I kept track of my progress. This was important for me so I could see how far I had come, as well as to help me stay motivated and on track. I wrote down my weight before I started and then every week I wrote down my weight again. I also wrote down any changes in my body, such as feeling stronger or having more energy.

Overall, setting realistic weight loss goals was very important for me. It helped me stay motivated and made it easier to reach my goals. It also gave me a sense of accomplishment when I achieved a goal. I am so glad that I took the time to set realistic goals, as it has made a huge difference in my life.
